Albert Lee Toumberlin

Albert Lee Toumberlin, 61 of Ottawa, Kansas passed away April 6, 2016 at Ottawa Retirement Village. He was born March 22, 1955 in Ottawa, KS, the son of Albert Joseph Toumberlin and Rosemary JoAnn Plank. He was a near lifelong Ottawa resident having lived only a short time in Arizona in his youth. He graduated with the class of 1974 from Globe High School, Globe, Arizona. After graduation he enlisted in the United States army and served his country, attaining the rank of E-4 and a earning the National Defense Medal and the Marksman Award. Albert was an Auto Body Mechanic for Turner Chevrolet in Lawrence, Kansas for many years. On May 16, 1977, Albert was united in marriage to Connie Lane in Ottawa, KS. They later divorced. Albert is survived by four children, Jennifer Blanton and her husband, Tim, of Ottawa, Shanda Lamm of Ottawa, Chuck Lamm and his wife, Brandi, of Ottawa, Doug Emperley of Ottawa; two brothers, Albert Toumberlin and his wife, Brandy, Kenneth Melvin; six sisters, Casey Jarvis and her husband Jason, Nancy Barnam, Patty Lee, Sandy Toumberlin, Verna Garcia, Mary Pecore; eighteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Mike Toumberlin; and a sister Cathy Toumberlin. Memorial funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 11, 2016 at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa, KS. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona, KS. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the funeral.
