Deloris Jane Hardy

Deloris Jane Hardy, age 77, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away October 27, 2014, at Ransom Memorial Hospital, Ottawa, Kansas. Deloris was born on November 20, 1936, in Lawrence, KS, the daughter of Everett Taylor and Abbie Marie (Pettit) Taylor. She was raised in Lawrence and lived several other places as an adult before moving to Ottawa in 2001. Mrs. Hardy worked in the commercial warehousing industry for many years, including at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Ottawa. Prior she was a night manager for 4 years for an answering service company in Lawrence as well as a dispatcher for a cab company. Deloris was a member of the Living Way Apostolic Church of Ottawa. She is also survived by two daughters, Catherine Thompson, Ottawa, Teresa Adams and her husband, Nathan, Ottawa; two siblings, Mildred Gulley, Kansas City, Kansas, Lawrence, Leroy Taylor, Ottawa; seven grandchildren, Sherri Thompson, Cathy Andre Bell, Rebecca Jane Kent, Michael James Thompson, Jacob Adams, Felisha Adams, Abbie Adams; sixteen great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Deloris is preceded in death by her parents; a brother Robert Taylor and a son-in-law, Michael Thompson. The family welcomes friends for a visitation service on Saturday November 1, 2014 from 10-11a.m. at Apostolic Living Way Church, Ottawa, KS. The funeral service will be held Saturday November 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Apostolic Living Way Church, Ottawa, KS. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Deloris J.
