Edward Lamar Forrer, 97, of Princeton, Kansas passed away February 24, 2015 at his home. He was born January 18, 1918 in Princeton, KS, the son of Thomas Forrer and Ethel Marie (Hockensmith) Forrer. Lamar graduated from Ottawa High School in 1936. He lived in Princeton, KS his entire life. He was a passionate farmer and truly loved his profession. He was a hard worker who instilled that work ethic in others. Edward loved to spoil his pets which included peacocks, dogs and cats. Lamar was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Ottawa, KS. On November 23, 1944, Lamar was united in marriage with Georgia Mae Mock in Ottawa, Kansas. They shared sixty years of loving marriage together. Georgia preceded him in death on January 27, 2005. He is also preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gary Forrer; and a brother, Thomas Richard Forrer. Lamar is survived by a son, Larry Forrer of Princeton, KS; a daughter, Linda Forrer of Princeton, KS; five grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday February 27, 2015 at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa, KS. Burial will follow at Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, KS.
