Eleanor F. Cole

Eleanor F. Cole died Friday, August 21, 2015 at Ottawa Retirement Village, Ottawa, Kansas. She was born January 27, 1919 near Pomona to Charles Lewis and Bess (Clark) Blackburn and was a life-long resident of Franklin County. She graduated from Pomona High School in 1936. She married Fay N. Cole, December 6, 1937 at Centropolis. He died July 6, 1981. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister. Survivors include one daughter Leah Collins, Ottawa; three sons James and Judy Cole, Ottawa, Gerald and Glenda Cole of Overland Park, Kenneth and Carol Cole of Ottawa; a sister Miriam Bastian of Montgomery, Texas; nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa, KS. Private Inurnment services will be held at a later date at Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona.
