Ethel Louise Fouts

Ethel Louise Fouts age 94 of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away April 21, 2016 at Richmond Care Center, Richmond, Kansas. She was born January 21, 1922 in Ottawa the daughter of Frank A. Bell and Nora Ethel (Hinderliter) Bell. Louise was a lifelong Ottawa resident and graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1940. Louise and her husband, Lowell, owned and operated the L & L Restaurant in Ottawa for fifty years. They enjoyed visiting with their friends and customers that frequented the restaurant. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ottawa as well as the Good Sam's Club. On May 9, 1940 Louise was united in marriage to James Lowell Fouts in Nevada, Missouri. Lowell and Louise shared sixty years of loving marriage together. Lowell preceded her in death on September 15, 2010. Louise is also preceded in death by her parents and four sisters; Maurine Becker, Gladys Gray, Oletha Pierson, and Nell Nelson. Surviving family includes a daughter Linda Urkevich and husband, John, of St. Louis, Missouri; son Leroy Fouts and wife, Ann, of Overbrook, Kansas; five grandchildren, Casey Urkevich, Ashley Barker, Denise Johnson, Keith Fouts, Andrea Fouts; and eleven great grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be 11:00a.m., Saturday April 23, 2016 at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa. Condolences may be sent to the family through www.lamb-roberts.com.
