Frances Pauline Souders

Frances Pauline (Otto) Souders, 94 of Baldwin City, Kansas passed away November 15, 2016 at her home in Baldwin City, KS. She was born September 22, 1922 in Kansas, the daughter of Albert and Susie (Klem) Otto. She was a Seamstress at Mode-O-Day in Ottawa, KS before working as an Assembler for Boeing in her early years. She later worked as a Janitor for Baker University in Baldwin City, KS. Frances was united in marriage to John Bruce Souders. Frances liked to travel. She enjoyed camping, canoeing, gardening and baking wedding cakes. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John; four brothers, Albert, Donald, Willie and Carl; and a sister, Anna. She is survived by a son, Joel Souders and his wife, Carol of Baldwin City, KS; three daughters, Sharon Hird of Greenforrest, Arkansas, Dina Burnett of Bismark, North Dakota and Debra Smith and her husband, David of Topeka, KS; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
