Harry Prim Obituary

Harry Bodden "Junior" Prim, 85, passed away September 12, 2014 at Midland Hospice House, Topeka, Kansas. He was born in Lawrence, Kansas, December 14, 1928 the son of Harry W. Prim and Marie (McGeeney) Prim. He graduated from Overbrook High School with the class of 1946. Junior was a lifelong Overbrook resident. Junior served his country in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954 in the Signal Corp primarily in Alaska. He attained the rank of corporal. He was a lifelong stockman and farmer. Junior also ran a dairy farm with his brother for many years. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at LaPeer. On December 28, 2009 Junior was united in marriage with Kathryn Prim in Topeka Kansas, She survives of the home. Junior is also survived by a son, Mike Prim and his wife, Kathy, of Overbrook; a daughter, Patti Cooper and her husband, Marc, of Carbondale; sister-in-law, Monica Prim; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and a nephew,Matt, and niece, Pam. He is preceded in death by His Parents, brother, Bob Prim, and infant sister, Betty Prim. The family of Mr. Prim will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2014 at Greenwood-Roberts Funeral of Overbrook. Graveside funeral services will be 10a.m., Saturday, September 20 at Rock Creek Cemetery.
