Henrietta Schoepflin Obituary

Henrietta M. Schoepflin, age 96, passed away on July 2, 2015, surrounded by loved ones at Vintage Park in Baldwin City, KS. She was born June 22, 1919 in Coffeyville, KS to Merle and Esther (Muzzy) Weible. Henrietta graduated from Coffeyville Field-Kinley High School in 1938. She graduated from Baker University in 1941, where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She was also a member of PEO Sisterhood, Hestia Club, American Legion Auxiliary, and numerous other charitable organizations. Henrietta was united in marriage to Homer Schoepflin on June 15, 1941 in Coffeyville, KS. He preceded her in death in 2000. She is also preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Weible and Robert Weible. She is survived by two sons, Stephen Schoepflin, Fairhope, Alabama, and Roger Schoepflin and wife, Brenda, Grand Marais, Minnesota; and a daughter, Janet Breithaupt and husband, Terry, Grand Marais, MN; seven grandchildren, Stephen K. Schoepflin, Kevin Champaigne, Raquel Cox, Tracy Woolf, Jacob Schoepflin, Lindsey Jinright, and Grant Breithaupt; and 13 ½ great-grandchildren. There has been a Schoepflin living in Baldwin City for well over a hundred years. Private family services were held on July 6, 2015 at Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin City, KS.
