Henry F. Snodgrass, 73, of Williamsburg, Kansas passed away at his home Sunday, November 16, 2014. Henry was born October 6, 1941 in Pomona, KS the son of Sidney Franklin Snodgrass and Pansy Mae (Wadkins) Snodgrass. Henry grew up in the area and graduated from Williamsburg High School with the class of 1960. In 1961 Henry joined the United States Army. He attained the rank of PFC- E-3 and qualified as a sharpshooter. He was stationed at Fort Wainwright in Alaska during the Cuban missile crisis. After his honorable discharge he settled in Topeka, KS where he worked at Emergency Auto Supply then with NAPA Auto Parts before a 13 year stay with Kansas Sand and Concrete as a concrete truck driver. Then his love of photography took him in a new direction and he went into self-employment as a professional photographer for 13 years, retiring and moving "home" to Williamsburg in 1995. Henry was united in marriage with Susan "Sue" Rice on July 4, 1970 in Topeka, KS. They shared 44 years together. Sue survives of the home. Henry is also survived by a son Robert Snodgrass of Aurora, MO; a daughter Laura Lee Young and husband, Fred, of Blue Springs, MO; an Aunt Violet Wadkins of Ottawa, KS and two grandchildren Todd Alan Young and Tyler Scott Young. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Pansy Mae (Wadkins) Snodgrass and Sidney Snodgrass. The family welcomes friends for a visitation service on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa, KS. The funeral service will be held Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Homewood Community Bible Church, Homewood, KS.
