Jessie Lantz

Jessie Lantz, age 96, of Princeton, Kansas, passed away November 11, 2014, at Ransom Memorial Hospital, Ottawa, Kansas. Jessie was born on March 4, 1918, in Garnett, KS, the daughter of Daniel Harnett Luse and Minnie (Baldwin) Luse. Jessie graduated from Garnett High School with the class of 1936. During World War II she worked as a machinist for Strains Mechanical in Garnett, KS. In 1947 she moved to Princeton, KS. Jessie worked as a seamstress at Mode-O-Day in Ottawa, KS from 1963-1982. Jessie was united in marriage with John Jerry Lantz, December 16, 1947 in Bentonville, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on August 4, 1988. They shared nearly 41 years together. Jessie is also preceded by her parents; a son John Daniel Lantz, two brothers Ralph and Roy Luse, and a sister Mary Crozier. Jessie is survived by her daughter Janet Susan Lantz and two sons Jerry Joseph and Stephen Francis Lantz of Princeton KS. Mrs. Lantz will be in state from 8-5 Friday November 14, 2014. The funeral service will be held Saturday November 15, 2014 at 10:0 a.m. at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa, KS. Burial will be at Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, KS.
