Josephine Pacheco Salgado Gomez

JOSEPHINE (DIAZ) PACHECO GOMEZ, 92, Ottawa, Kansas passed away March 19, 2015 at Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, Kansas. She was born July 23, 1922 in Swink, Colorado the daughter of Pete and Erma Linda Diaz. She attended schools in Colorado. She moved to Ottawa, Kansas in 1950 and has resided here since. On January 5, 1951she was united in marriage to Manuel Pacheco. They shared over 40 years of marriage until his death on May 4, 1991. Josephine was a homemaker and would also help her husband with custodial work at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Josephine married Gabriel Salgado Gomez on December 23, 2002 they shared over thirteen years of marriage. She enjoyed walking, gardening, sewing, crocheting, shopping and going to the Casino. She was preceded by grandchild, Ivy Nicole. She is survived by husband, Gabriel of Ottawa, Kansas; three sons, Manuel Pacheco Jr. of Ottawa, Kansas, David Pacheco of Lawrence, KS and Phillip Pacheco of Spring Hill, Kansas; six grandchildren, Trevor James, Trista Jean, Phillip Brandon, Gabriel Eugene, Mitchell Douglas Pacheco and Jade Ashley George; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, 325 S. Hickory, Ottawa, KS 66067. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa.
