Kendra Rayann Mitchell

Kendra Rayann Mitchell, 13 years of age, passed away on October 2, 2014. Kendra was born on October 12, 2000 in Lawrence, Kansas. She is the daughter of Linda Mitchell. Kendra was a life-long resident of Ottawa. Kendra attended Hawthorne and Lincoln Elementary Schools and then was home-schooled through Middle School due to her health. Kendra was always full of smiles and loved to laugh at funny things people said or did. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going camping, shopping, out to eat, and morning walks. Kendra was a very happy child and teen. Kendra was dedicated to the Lord on May 11, 2003 at 1st Assembly of God Church. Kendra is survived by her mom, Linda Mitchell and sister, Tori Mitchell of the home, sister, Katie Cole and fiancée, Chris McFadden of Ottawa, KS, sister Judy Mitchell, unknown location; her Aunt Jodie, Uncle Chris Ray, Aunt Wendy, Uncle Jason Murphy; cousins Christopher, Blake, Chloie, Colton, Emily and Erin; her grandparents Kay and Jim McCurdy and Terry & Cindy Mitchell; great grandma Doris Cox; and many great aunts and uncles and great cousins. Kendra was preceded in death by her aunt Pam Kirkland-McCord, great grandma Irene Bates, and great grandpa LaVonne Bates and great grandpa, Mosie Cox. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 5th at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa, KS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 6th also at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Ottawa. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests stuffed animals donated to Children's Mercy Hospital in memory of Kendra.
