Louise Jean Matlock, 88, of Pomona, KS passed away May 18, 2016 at Ransom Memorial Hospital, Ottawa, KS. She was born September 13, 1927 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Jesse A. Foote and Agnes P. (Hutchinson) Foote. Louise graduated from high school in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church where she was involved with United Methodist Women organization. She was a member of Sadana Chapter 194 Order Of The Eastern Star Of Kansas and also The Red Hat Society. She is survived by one son, Brian C. Sturdevant, Anchorage, Alaska; two step-sons, Michael A. Matlock, South Bend, Washington, and Patrick T. Matlock, Tacoma, WA; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Louise was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Charles H. Foote. Family will greet friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2016 at Williamsburg United Methodist Church, Williamsburg, KS. Graveside Services at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Williamsburg, KS will be at a later date.
