Louise Reams Taul

Louise Reams Taul, 89 of Baldwin City, KS passed away July 16, 2016 at her residence. She was born September 6, 1926 at her parents' home west of Ottawa, Kansas the daughter of Carl Reams and Susie Cameron Reams. She attended Fairmount Grade School and graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1944. On March 17, 1946, Louise was united in marriage with Joe Ed Taul at the First Methodist Church, Baldwin City, KS. They just celebrated their seventieth year of marriage. In 1949 Louise and Joe Ed moved into the home that they still reside in now. Louise and Joe Ed had four children all of whom survive; Martha Christie and her husband, Mike, Jimmie Taul and his wife, Carol, Johnnie Taul and his wife, Jane, Marilyn Taul; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Louise is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Charles Reams; and a sister Grace Fisher. Louise worked at Newfeld Jewelry and Woolworths, both of Ottawa, thru high school. After getting married she worked on the family farm as well as at Ford's I.G.A., as a cook for Delta Tau Delta, drove a school bus for U.S.D. 348 for twenty-seven years, and in the Baker University Maintenance Office. Graveside funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016 At Worden Cemetery, Worden, Kansas. The family will meet with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at the Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Baldwin City.
