Rosemary Coffman

Rosemary Coffman, 66, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Ransom Memorial Hospital. She was born August 28, 1949 in Ottawa, KS, the daughter of Clifford Burgoon and Mary (Easter) Burgoon. Rosemary was a life-long resident of Ottawa. She worked for King Radio from 1978-1988 and Wingert's Gas from 1999-2003. She was a member of Aerie Lodge #2700, Fraternal Order of Eagles. She loved being with her grandbabies. She also enjoyed sewing and going to the casino. On March 3, 1967, Rosemary was united in marriage to John Coffman, Sr. They shared over 31 years of marriage until his passing in 1998. Rosemary is also preceded in death by two sisters, Sandra Brown and Janet Hopkins. She is survived by a son, John Coffman, Jr. and wife, Erin, of Ottawa, KS; three daughters, Julie Velze and husband, Lupe, Robyn Coffman, and Krista Burgoon, all of Ottawa; a brother, Clifford Burgoon of Vassar, KS; a sister, Micki Stone of Olathe, KS; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at her son, John's house, 2341 Reno Rd, Ottawa, KS. Inurnment will be later at Hardy Oak Cemetery in McClouth, KS.
