Sharon Louise Diaz

Sharon Louise Diaz, 63 of Ottawa, KS passed away July 19, 2016 at Richmond Healthcare, Richmond, Kansas. She was born March 14, 1953 in Crocker, Mo., the daughter of Marion Earl Brumett and Doris Ryrson Brumett. Sharon has lived in Michigan, Rolla, Missouri, Gardner, Kansas moving to Ottawa, Kansas where she has lived most of her adult life. Sharon was a lifelong Homemaker. She was a loving mother and wife. The business of her family was always run well by Sharon. She loved her Indian heritage and collected Indian memorabilia from all over. She loved to spend time sewing and playing cards. Her favorite way to spend the day however was always with the grandchildren. With the children around her smile was always the biggest in the room. On September 11, 1972, Sharon was united in marriage with Richard Reeder. They later divorced. On June 23, 2001 Sharon was united in marriage to Juan Diaz. Juan preceded her in death on October 18, 2014. Sharon is also preceded in death by her father, Marion Earl Brumett and a sister, Janet Burgess. Sharon is survived by three sons; Kelly Reeder, Richmond, KS., Melvin Reeder, Richmond, KS, Marvin Reeder, Pomona, KS.; daughter, Star Diaz, Topeka; mother Doris Brummett, Ottawa, KS.,; three brothers, Roger Brumett, Ottawa, KS, Richard Brumett, Olathe, KS, Delbert Brumett, Ottawa, KS.; four sisters, Mary Hamic, Olathe, KS, Betty Brumett, Ottawa, KS., Roxane Brumett, Paola, KS, Brenda Chowing, Florida ; and twelve grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Richmond Cemetery, Richmond, Kansas. The family will meet with friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 25, 2016 at the Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa.
