Sherry Lynn Wolken

Sherry Lynn Wolken, 62, of Ottawa, KS, left her physical state as she was called home with family at her side, January 16, 2015, battling cancer. She was born in Chanute, KS, January 21, 1952. Sherry graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1970. She had a child, Jason Wolken. Sherry proudly achieved 14 years as a Dietary Aide at Ransom Memorial Hospital, then to complete her last 21 years at Ottawa Retirement Village. She will leave behind many activities and interests, not to mention bike riding and her beloved canine companion, Sassy. She was survived by: Son Jason Wolken; Grandchildren Alexandria and Hunter, Father Raymond Wolken; Sister Rose Heinlein; Brothers JD (Nancy) Wolken; Raymond (Ruby) Wolken; Mike (Barb) Wolken; Pete (Dina) Wolken; Steve (Carmen) Wolken; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Sherry is preceded in death by her mother and a brother-in-law Alan Heinlein. Viewing for Miss Wolken will be held 6 p.m. - 8 p.m., Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the funeral home. Sherry will be cremated following services.
