Thomas E. Calcott

Thomas E. Calcott, 59, of Erie, KS passed away peacefully, Tuesday, May 17, 2016. Thomas was born August 13, 1956 in Kansas City, MO the son of Thomas Faye Calcott and Betty Joanne McConnell. He moved with his family to California where he graduated from Cabazon High School, Cabazon, CA, with the class of 1972. In 1973 Thomas entered the United State Marine Corps and served his country until 1977. After his military service he moved to Garnett, KS living there until moving to Richmond, KS in the late 80's. In 2011 he moved to Erie, KS, where he has lived since. Thomas was a Crane Operator for various construction companies for over 25 years. In 2002 Thomas was united in marriage to Bobbie Jo Calcott. She precedes him in death. He is also preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Calcott is survived by seven children, Thomas Kazmierski and his wife, Kelly, of Honolulu, HI, Freda Reed of Erie, KS, Debra Kelley of Kincaid, KS, John Calcott and his wife, Renee, of Ottawa, Josh Calcott of Greeley, KS, Tony Denney of Ottawa, Cody Thompson of Ottawa; six siblings, Robert Calcott and his wife, Patricia, of Westphalia, KS, Mike Penland and his wife, Tracie, Quenemo, KS, Sandra Nedwed and her husband, Ron, of Waverly, KS, Vikki Bellinger and her husband, Donnie, of Homewood, KS, Jimmy McConnell of Henry, IL, Gary McConnell and his wife, Juanita, of Williamsburg, KS; twelve grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2016 at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2016 at funeral home.
