Mike Fagan, 76, of Osage City, passed away on March 18, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 2, 1947 in Winston Salem, North Carolina. He was the only child of Donald M and Leola (Swanson) Fagan. In 1955 the family moved to a farm near Burlingame where he attended Burlingame schools and graduated with the class of 1965.

He enlisted in the Navy Reserves and requested his active duty be in Vietnam, serving a year in the Brown Water Navy, River Division 535 on PBR boats from November 1968 to November 1969.

After nearly three years of dating, Mike and Linda Peterson were married October 14, 1968 and celebrated 55 years of marriage. They were blessed with three daughters.

Since the 1970's Mike was employed in some part of the rock production. He started as a truck driver and worked his way through every job in the quarry and became plant manager. In 1978, he moved to Neodesha, KS to become plant manager at a quarry for Midwest Minerals. Upon the death of his father in 1996, he took charge of the farming and cattle operations at the family farm.

Mike was all about fun. A lifelong dream to become a private pilot was accomplished in 1991. He was a Chiefs fan and enjoyed years of games and tailgating with his girls and other family members.
