April Lynn Fleer

April Lynn Fleer, 44, of Wellsville, KS awoke in the arms of our Lord, prior to her remains being discovered on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at her home. She was born July 21, 1974 in Topeka, KS the daughter of Michael D. and Jacqueline D. (Pusch) Peek. April was a graduate of Seaman High School in Topeka, KS. She attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS and later earned a Master's Degree in Nursing from Baker University in Baldwin City, KS, prior to passing state exam to become a Registered Nurse. April was employed at the Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, KS where she worked as a Critical Care Nurse for several years prior to becoming ill and forced into disability retirement. She was a devoted mother and her daughter Jordan was her greatest joy. Outside of her daughter her constant companions were her dogs. She greatly enjoyed family gatherings, was a talented artist and enjoyed watching movies with her mother. She was married for about thirteen years and divorced. She is survived by her daughter, Jordan Fleer of Wellsville, KS; a granddaughter, Aurora Fleer of Wellsville, KS; her parents, Michael and Jacqueline Peek of Topeka, KS; a sister, Crystal Fleer and her fiancée Jerry Joyner of Topeka, KS; three nephews and a niece. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard B. and Helen L. (Lawless) Peek; Clayton Pusch and Glenna (Pratt) Pusch. A Celebration of life for family and friends will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Garfield North Shelter House, 1600 NE Quincy Street, Topeka, KS.
