Craig Latham Obituary

Craig Alan Latham, age 51, of Pomona, KS, passed away February 10, 2020, at Advent Health of Shawnee Mission, KS. He was born May 15, 1968 in Salina, KS, the son of Raymond Latham and Bette (Harris) Latham Hovey. Craig grew up in Agra, KS graduating from Eastern Heights High School with the class of 1986. He then graduated from North Central Kansas Technical College, Beloit, KS, in Diesel Mechanics. Craig moved from Agra, Ks to Ottawa, KS in 2005 and from Ottawa, to Pomona, KS in 2010. He worked for many years for Tamko Roofing, Phillipsburg, KS as a line operator making roofing shingles. Upon his move to Ottawa in 2005 he began working for Wal-Mart Distribution as a RSR forklift operator for the last fourteen years. Craig was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to fish, hunt, and camp. If it had to do with being in nature, Craig would be interested. He was always working a new project and loved to fix thing even if they didn't need fixed. In his youth he played football, basketball, and track and was very successful. He loved to BBQ any food and was always excited to fire up the grill. Most important to Craig in his life was his family especially his children and grandchildren. On February 17, 1990 Craig was united in marriage to the love of his life, Bonnie Eagleburger, at Phillipsburg, KS. Bonnie survives of their home. He is also survived by his two daughters, Sydney Latham and her fiancé, Chris Valencia, Pomona, KS, Ashlyn Latham and her fiancé, Austin Smith, Pomona, KS; his mother, Bette Hovey and her husband, Bob, of Agra, KS; a brother Brian Latham, Pomona, KS; and two grandchildren, Aidyn Latham and Ember Smith. Craig is preceded in death by his father and a brother Jeffrey Latham. A celebration of life gathering is planned from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday February 22, 2020 at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa. Inurnment will occur at a later date at Agra Cemetery, Agra, KS. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Craig Latham Memorial Fund c/o Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O.
