Karen Sue Darnall

Karen Sue Darnall, 56, of Ottawa, KS passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 at University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, KS. She was born September 14, 1960 in Newton, KS the daughter of Edward Eugene Wolf and Iris Vivian (Beal) Wolf. Karen grew up in the Halstead area graduating from Halstead High School with the class of 1978. She also attended Wichita State University. In 2003 she moved to Ottawa, KS. In her youth Karen worked for a local Pizza Store, after college she became a Personal Care Assistant operating her own home health company, retiring in 2006. Karen was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church of Bentley, KS. She was an active member of the church even teaching Bible School when her children were young. Karen is survived by two daughters, Amanda Kay Darnall, Ottawa, Ashley Darlyne Darnall, Ottawa; her companion Allen Leroy Bishop, Ottawa; three brothers, Karl Eugene Wolf and his husband John Montieth, Clinton, IA, Darren Hicks and his wife Anna, New Cambria, KS, Gavin Hicks, Paris, TX; sister, Jennifer Haywood and her husband, David Hudson, Oxford, KS; father Eddie Hicks, Oxford, KS and her mother, Betty Pearce of Kingman, KS. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Eugene Wolf and Iris Vivian Wolf as well as a brother, Bryan Hicks.
