Letha Lorene Lytle

Letha Lorene Lytle, 95, of Wellsville, KS passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at Olathe Hospice House in Olathe, KS. She was born May 26, 1923 in Ottawa, KS the daughter of Otis and Pearl (Swearingen) Elliott. She grew up and attended schools in Ottawa graduating from Ottawa High School in 1941. Letha was united in marriage to Frederick Wood on October 3, 1942 at her parents' home in Ottawa. They shared over twenty-seven years of marriage before the death of her husband on May 3, 1970. Letha was a farm wife. She married William A. Lytle on January 18, 1980 at the First Baptist Church in Ottawa, KS. They shared over thirty-three years of marriage before the death of her husband on February 26, 2013. Mrs. Lytle was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Virl Elliott; two husbands; a daughter, Linda Sue Smart; and three sons-in-laws, Dan Mullen, Leon Smart and Marlow Graber. Surviving family includes her son, Frederick Richard Wood and his wife, Karen of Chillicothe, MO; daughter, Sara Lorene Mullen of Wichita, KS; a son, Bill Lytle and his wife, Nancy of Wellsville, KS; and daughter, Jane Silviera and her husband, Brian of Clovis, CA; seven grandchildren, Debra, Darren, Dan, Jody, Matt, Casey and Amanda; eighteen great-grandchildren, Cody, Chelsea, Becca, Brianna, Caleb, Cole, Lauren, Dawson, Daniel, Kaitlyn, Jack, Mason, Jack, Allie, Sadie, Emmy, Maggie and Lucy; and three great-great grandchildren, Karlee, Brexley, and Braxton. Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2018 at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, 325 S. Hickory, Ottawa, KS 66067. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, KS. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the funeral home.
