Marian Maxine (Schwarz) Hesser

Marian Maxine (Schwarz) Hesser, 81, of Baldwin City, passed away November 28, 2017 at Richmond Care Center, Richmond, KS. She was born in Baldwin City, Kansas, October 18, 1936 the daughter of Albert Schwarz and Neva (Freeland) Schwarz. She attended a one room elementary school of Central School in the Worden area in her youth. She graduated from Baldwin City High School with the class of 1954. In 1955 Marian was united in marriage with Harvey Dale Reeder. They later divorced. On April 30, 1966 Marian was united in marriage to George Lee Hesser in Commerce City, Colorado. They then resided there until Lee's death July 16, 1989. Marian lived in the Denver area until 2007 moving back to her hometown of Baldwin City. Marian worked for Samsonite Luggage in Denver, CO until her retirement. She was a member of the St. John's Church of Christ, Baldwin City, KS. Marian is survived by a son, Allan Dale Reeder along with JaDana Thayer and Jordae of Denver, CO; two brothers, Dale Schwarz and his wife, Phylis of Baldwin City, KS, Robert Schwarz and his wife, Patty, of Adams, WI; sister-in-law, Shirley Blosser of Council Grove, KS, Gail Hesser of Leavenworth, KS, and Edna Hesser of Denver, CO; a granddaughter, Jennie Reeder of Denver, CO; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, Dale Reeder and Lee Hesser; and a brother, Kenneth Schwarz. Graveside funeral services will be held 9:00 a.m., Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Highland Cemetery, Thornton, CO. The family will meet with friends at the Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Baldwin City; from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2017. Condolences may be sent through Lamb-Roberts Funeral Homes.
