Martha Sundstrom Obituary

Martha Ann Sundstrom, age 73, of Ottawa, Kansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 14, 2019 at Baldwin Healthcare and Rehabilitation. She was born May 20, 1945 in Manhattan, KS, the daughter of Melvin Carl Sundstrom and Alma Grace (Bisel) Sundstrom. She attended the one room Baxter Grade School. Martha received her high school diploma through American School. She moved to Ottawa, KS in 1957. Martha worked at UPS for over a decade and worked on the family farm. She loved to garden and tended over a hundred tomato plants. She also had a favorite recipe for cinnamon pickles. Martha was an active member of Pilgrim Bible Church, Ottawa, KS. Her love for children inspired her to teach Sunday School for many years, she also participated on the planning committee. She is survived by four siblings, Ruth Sundstrom, Lyle Sundstrom, Raymond Sundstrom, and Harry Sundstrom, all of Ottawa, KS; three nieces; and several great nieces and great nephews. Martha is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Marilyn Sundstrom and Lois Horner. Family will greet friends Monday, March 18, 2019 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at Pilgrim Bible Church. Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Pilgrim Bible Church. Burial will follow at Evergreen Mound Cemetery.
