Mary Jane Climer

Mary Jane (Atwell) Climer, 59 of Baldwin City, KS passed away January 19, 2017 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was born November 1, 1957 in Lawrence, KS the daughter of Bobby Gene Atwell and Mary Mae (Coon) Atwell. She graduated from Perry-Lecompton High School with the class of 1976. She worked for many years as an assembler for King Radio and Bendix/King, which is now Honeywell. Mary loved her family and especially loved spending time with her grandkids. She enjoyed taking day trips and sight-seeing, as well as socializing. Mary was united in marriage to Steven Climer on September 14, 1982 at the Douglas County Courthouse in Lawrence, KS. They shared over 34 years of marriage. He survives of the home. Mary is also survived by her mother, Mary Mae Atwell, Perry, KS; her daughter, Christina Reed and husband, Ryan, of Edgerton, KS; her son, Preston Climer of Eudora, KS; three grandchildren; a brother, Bobby Atwell and wife, Becky, of Tonganoxie, KS; two sisters, Rose Bass of Topeka, KS and Patty Hadl and husband, Kim, of Lawrence, KS. Mrs. Climer was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Atwell. Celebration of Life services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2017 at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Baldwin City.
