Mildred I Tienken

Mildred I. Tienken, age 90, of Ottawa, KS, passed away August 20, 2019, at Rock Creek of Ottawa. She was born March 13, 1929 in Cedartown, GA, the daughter of Marvin Hancock and Viola (Teems) Hancock. Mildred grew up in Cedartown graduating from Cedartown High School with the class of 1947. On August 28, 1955 Mildred was united in marriage to John F. Tienken, Jr. at Cedartown, GA. They shared fifty-seven years of marriage until the death of John in February of 2013. After their marriage John and Mildred moved to Ferndale, WA, then to Ontario, OR, to Eldorado Springs, Mo until settling down in Ottawa, KS in 1961. Mildred was a lifelong homemaker and housewife. She is also preceded in death by her parents and a son, William F. Tienken. Mildred is survived by a son, Robert J. Tienken, The Colony, TX; a sister, Margie Privett, Cedartown, GA; a granddaughter, Jessica A. Tienken; and two great grandsons, Sage M. Bonner, Harper J. Tienken.
