Naomi Heidner Obituary

Naomi Heidner, also known as Nemo, age 90 passed away January 25, 2017 in Mesa, Arizona. She was born September 24, 1926 at the family farm in Michigan Valley now known as Adams Grove at Pomona State Lake the daughter of Frank and Ruby (Walker) Adams. Later in life she married Lloyd Heidner and they made their home for 15 yr. in Pomona Kansas. They enjoyed traveling around the United States and special trips to Europe, and Alaska. Nemo moved to Mesa, Az. and lived near her son and daughter-in - law Janet the past 14 years. Her Daughter Pam Torre lives in Florida. See enjoyed the warm states and frequently traveled to and from. She is survived by two children, Jim Gingerich, Mesa, Az. and Pam Gingerich Torre, Vero Beach, Florida; a sister, Tony (Adams) Walburn; a brother Don Adams; Four grandchildren , Tona (Gingerich) Felzien, Tamera (Gingerich) Rhynshoven, Trisha Torre and Doug( Gingerich) Crable and 6 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Gingerich; her parents, Frank and Ruby Adams; a sister, Phyllis (Adams) Fanning; and a son Geo Gingerich. She graduated from Michigan Valley H.S. and Kansas City Floral School of Design. She operated her own business with floral work and cake decorating. She was a talented person with home decorating. She was known for her fabulous cooking and cooked at Appanoose Grade School and Ottawa Hospital. She worked at Pomona State Park and retired after several years working at Ned Hiatt's RV near the lake. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona, KS.
