Thelma Louise Hoss, 90, passed away February 24, 2018 at Brookside Assisted Living Facility in Overbrook, KS. Thelma was born to John W. Parton and Bertha M. (Higgs) Parton on June 25, 1927 in Topeka, Kansas. Thelma grew up in Topeka, Kansas and attended Topeka High School. Thelma worked in retail and as a housewife and stay at home mother. On October 9, 1945 Thelma was united in marriage to William Thomas Hoss. The couple shared the next 65 years until Bill's passing in 2010. Thelma was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Harold, Robert and John Wesley Parton Jr.; two sisters, Florence Chalker and Stella Marie Parton; and a great grandson, Corbin Hoss. She is survived by her children Billy (Nancy) Hoss of Frankfort, KS, Joan (Late George) Waters of Scranton, KS, Duane (Sharon) Hoss of Meriden, KS, Joyce (Gary) Brown of Lawrence, KS, Larry (Christa) Hoss of Topeka, KS; thirteen grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 2nd at 11:00 AM at Greenwood- Roberts Funeral Home in Overbrook, KS. Interment will follow at Valley Brook Cemetery, Overbrook, KS. The family will accept visitors on Thursday, March 1st from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Greenwood- Roberts Funeral Home, 730 Western Heights Drive, Overbrook, KS 66524.
