Thestar Dean Perry

A native of Kansas, Dean was born in Lawrence on August 16th, 1932. He passed from this life in Albuquerque, NM on May 2nd, 2019 at the age of 86. He was the only child of Burt R. and Rachel M. Perry who were longtime residents of Baldwin City. Dean received his undergrad degree from Kansas University and his Master's degree in Music Education from Emporia State. He enjoyed a 50+ year career as a music educator in Kansas, California, Hawaii, and New Mexico. He was well respected by his peers and students alike. Dean is survived by; his wife of 37 years, Peggy, his three children Vic, Joan and Trica, two step-daughters Wendy and Marnie, two grand-children John and Brenda, and six great-grandchildren. Dean will be interred on Saturday September 21st, at 10:00 am at Deay Cemetery in Clearfield, KS. Those wishing to attend are welcome. Condolences for the family may be left at www.lamb-roberts.com.
