Thomas William Knox, age 35, formerly of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018, in Garden City, Kansas. He was born October 8, 1982 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of John Knox and Ronda Lyne (Cantrell) Morris. Thomas attended Central Heights High School. Thomas worked for Menard's in Lawrence and moved to Garden City, where he had recently accepted the position of General Manager. Thomas enjoyed grilling and other outside activities. He had an artistic side to him since early life. His dream as a young man was to become an architect. Thomas was a hardworking, dependable, and compassionate man that lived towards one goal, "family". He was a skilled craftsman a great artist with a pleasant nature. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was the master storyteller who always had a good joke to lighten up any mood. Family was the most important part to him and never failed to go the extra mile to keep everyone happy. He was a passionate, loving man and father. He enjoyed playing football, grilling, drawing and had a huge passion for motorcycles. He took great pride in his professional work. Thomas was a man with courage, bravery and had a smile that was contagious to anyone he encountered.. He will be missed dearly. Thomas is survived by his mother, Ronda Morris, Lane, KS; his father, John Knox, Ottawa, KS; three sisters, Erica Knox, Ottawa, KS, Regan Scheckel, Lane, KS, and Christina Elsasser, Ottawa, KS; three daughters, Brodi, Amelia, and Charlotte; and his grandmother, Dee Laughter, Blue Mound, KS. He is preceded in death by his aunt, Debi Cantrell, and his grandfather, Olen William Cantrell. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday April 3, 2018 at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, 325 S. Hickory St., Ottawa, KS. Burial will follow at Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, KS. The family will meet with friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time Tuesday April 3, 2018 at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa.
