Alyssa Ann Kennington

Alyssa Ann Kennington, 27, of Kansas City, KS died Friday, June 4, 2021 at Shawnee Mission Advent Health in Shawnee Mission, KS.

She was born January 22, 1994 in Lawrence, Kansas the daughter of Dan Kennington and Cathy Currant.  She went to Ottawa High School through the 11th grade.

Alyssa was a good mother to her two children, Aaliyah and Ryker Putney.  She enjoyed gardening and loved animals. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Cathy Currant.

She is survived by her two children, Aaliyah and Ryker Dean Putney of Pomona, KS; her father, Dan Kennington of Ottawa, KS; a cousin, Ashley Currant of Kansas City, KS; a sister, Justine Kennington of Georgia; a brother, Wesley Kennington of Indiana; and a grandmother, Shirley Verplanck of Ottawa, KS.

To celebrate Alyssa’s life, a funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. in the Brick Shelter House at Forest Park in Ottawa, KS.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alyssa Kennington Memorial Fund and sent c/o Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O. box 14, Ottawa, KS 66067.
