Audra Jean Wilson, 96, Harveyville, Kansas passed away Wednesday July 3, 2024 at her home.
She was born April 18, 1928 at home near Grant City, Missouri, the daughter of Leo Guy Fifer and Reeta Christina (Ackley) Fifer. She attended high school in Grant City, MO.
Audra married Eldon L. Wilson on August 25, 1944 in Troy, Kansas.
Audra and Eldon moved to their farm near Harveyville in 1956 where she was a homemaker, 4-H leader, and helped run their dairy farm. In the early 1970’s she opened her own business “Audra’s Bridal” in Topeka, Kansas where for forty-six years she not only provided retail wedding attire and services, but also designed original gowns for individuals in Topeka and the surrounding areas, as well as clients in major US cities and as far off as England, Saudi Arabia, and Holland. In addition, Audra made outfits for school groups, recitals, pageants, and TPA’s The Nutcracker. Audra was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon, a son, Eldon Lee Wilson Jr., a grandson Shelby McGinnis, two sisters, Alice Marjorie (Fifer) Richardson, Anna Aline (Fifer) Grove, and a brother, George Allie Fifer.
Survivors include children, Reeta Elaine Halverson, Kathy (Bill) Gosa, Gary (Brenda) Wilson, Jean (Don) McGinnis; daughter-in-law, Lorie Wilson; twelve grandchildren, Gary (April) Gucciano, Kevin (Tracy) Monreal, Toby (Jen) Halverson, Laura Ervin, Melissa (Chris) Loyd, Eldon (Marina) Wilson, Adam (Ariel) Wilson, Ausin Wilson, Whitney (Jose) Zamora, Matthew (Jessica) Wilson, Nicole Wilson, Deborah Wilson; fifteen great grandchildren; and two brothers, William Charles (Rosie) Fifer and Paul Arthur Fifer.
Graveside funeral Services will be 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Harveyville Cemetery, Harveyville, KS. To celebrate Audra’s life, her family will meet for a viewing at 1:00p.m., followed by a visitation for friends and family from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, 503 S.
