Barry Walters

Barry Walters, 77, of Overbrook, KS died Saturday, August 3, 2024 at his home.

Barry was born November 12, 1946 in Olathe, KS to Harvey and Evelyn (Doolittle) Walters.  He graduated from Olathe High School in 1964 and attended college at ESU until he was drafted to Vietnam in 1968.  He volunteered for two extra tours while in Bien Hoa, Vietnam.  He left in March 1970.  Barry continued his military career until 1987 when he retired at Beale Air Force Base in California.  He then worked for Windsor Garage Door from 1988 until he retired in 2008.  In 2018, Barry moved to Overbrook to be closer to his family. 

Barry is survived by his two daughters, Summer Walters of Overbrook, KS, and Bari Kuhlmann of Overbrook, KS, three granddaughters, and a sister, Deb Dane.
