Brandon Matthew Wadewitz, 26, of Ottawa, KS died Friday, June 16, 2023 in rural Franklin County, Kansas.
He was born August 21, 1996 in Lawrence, Kansas the son of Richard Wadewitz and Kelly (Conrad) Wadewitz. He attended school in the Ottawa School District in his youth.
On December 31, 2022, Brandon was united in marriage to Chelsea Chambers in Ottawa, Kansas.
Brandon was the life of the party, and loved life. He was a one of a kind man who was both loving and blunt at the same time. He was a go-getter, and if something needed to happen, he would make it happen. Family was everything to him, and he was proud of his kids and was a wonderful uncle. Brandon loved anything with a motor, especially his motorcycle. He enjoyed cracking open a cold one and being outside, including boating on Pomona Lake, which was his peaceful refuge. He enjoyed putting everything on his smoker, and was known to smoke chicken all the time, and also smoked pizza.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ella Mae and James Larry Wynn, and George and Lily Wadewitz.
He is survived by his wife, Chelsea Wadewitz of the home; his father, Richard Wadewitz and his wife, Michelle, of Ottawa, KS; his mother, Kelly Wadewitz and her husband, Tracy Dickey, of Richmond, KS; three brothers, Joshua Wadewitz and his wife, Katie, of Ottawa, KS, Noah Wadewitz and his wife, Olivia, of Ottawa, KS, and Ryan Green of Ottawa, KS; a sister, Zoe Green of Ottawa, KS; two sons, Xavier Nanninga and Waylon Wadewitz, of Ottawa, KS; a daughter, Paislee Wadewitz of Ottawa, KS, a child on the way and a niece, Clara Wadewitz, Ottawa, KS.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, Ottawa, KS, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12 p.m. at OnCue, 111 N. Main St, Ottawa, KS 66067. To celebrate Brandon’s life, a visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, 325 S. Hickory St, Ottawa, KS 66067.
