Carroll "Dean" Renfro

Carroll Dean Renfro, 75 of Pomona, KS, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023, at Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, KS.  Carroll was born March 6, 1948 in Springfield, MO, the son of Bobby Renfrow and Dorothy (Lansdown) Renfrow.

Carroll always went by the name Dean. Dean lived most of his adult life in Olathe, KS before moving to Pomona in 2019.  He was a supervisor in laundry for Aramark in Olathe, KS during his professional years.

On September 19, 1987, Dean was united in marriage to Charlene Ree in Olathe, KS.  They shared thirty-five years of loving marriage.

In his free time Dean spent his moments outdoors.  If the weather was good you would not find him in the house.  You probably would catch him doing his favorite pastime fishing either at Hillsdale Lake or Pomona Lake. Dean loved just being out in nature relaxing and enjoying the moment.

Dean is survived by his wife Charlene Renfro, Pomona, KS;  three daughters, Rhonda Renfro, and husband David Miller, Pomona, KS, Brenda Gatlin, Olathe, KS, Melinda LeBoeuf, and husband Patrick, Pomona, KS, three brothers, Darrell Stephenson, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Donald Renfro, Edgerton, KS, Richard Renfro, Ottawa, KS; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchild.

Dean is preceded in death by his parents Bobby and Dorothy Renfrow; two brothers Bobby Stephenson and Jerry Renfro.
