Christopher A. Haas, 35, of Ottawa, KS died Monday, September 13, 2021 at the Advent Health Ottawa in Ottawa, KS.
He was born December 29, 1985 in Martinez, California the son of Greg Haas and Candace (Pennala) Haas. Christopher grew up in California and lived for a time in Montana before moving to Ottawa, KS in 2002. Christopher was a 2004 graduate of Ottawa High School.
Christopher worked for Jet in Warehousing but his heart was already in cooking. He loved Culinary Arts and was proud of attending Culinary School.
He was an avid L.E.G.O. collector and builder in his youth and recently. He enjoyed many hours of drawing and coloring. His pets were very important to him, his fish, ferrets, and lizards were his true loves. Christopher also was an avid Poke mongo player driving all over the state and beyond looking for characters. Most important to Christopher however were his children. He loved to go to the park with them and go camping when they could.
Christopher was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Eric Pennala, Joseph Haas and a grandmother, Nancy Haas.
He is survived by four children, Quincy Haas, Erickah Haas, Anthony Haas, Olliviah Haas, all of Ottawa, KS; father, Greg Haas, Ottawa, KS; mother Candace Haas, Sparks, NV; fiancé, Amberly Stout, Ottawa, KS; two sisters, Rebecca Lotspeich, Sparks, N, Jenifier Haas, Sparks, NV; a brother, Eric Haas, Sparks, NV; grandmother, Lorriane Abbott, Rakerby, CA; an aunt, Susan Cook, Vallejo, CA; and three cousins, Amanda Weir, Kimberly Diaz, and Sheri Weir.
To celebrate Christopher’s life, a memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m., Thursday September 16, 2021 at Life Mission Church, 3058 Marshall Rd., Ottawa, KS.
