CoRene Leona (Buel) Keith

CoRene Leona (Buel) Keith, 86, of Baldwin City, Kansas died Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Star Living in Lawrence, Kansas.

She was born May 4, 1939 in American Falls, Idaho the daughter of Harper F. and Ella (Sweat) Buel.  She graduated from Green River High School in Green River, Wyoming with the class of 1957. 

CoRene worked as a real estate agent for ReeceNichols in Overland Park, KS.  She enjoyed many friends, lots of travel adventures and was active in many hobbies. 

CoRene loved life and a good celebration. Her family believes she knew of an amazing New Year’s Eve party happening in Heaven and didn’t want to miss it!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harper and Ella Buel; a brother, Harold Powell; and her favorite dog, Lilly.

She is survived by a daughter, Krystal Butell and her husband, Leo, of Baldwin City, KS; a son, Michael H. Keith and his wife, Deborah, of Overland Park, KS; two granddaughters, Kara Berger and her husband, Tom, of Lawrence, KS and Jordan Kelly and her husband, Joe, of Gardner, KS; and two great-grandsons, Paxton Berger of Lawrence, KS and Jax Kelly of Gardner, KS.
