Daniel "Danny" Bosworth Obituary

Daniel Eugene Bosworth, lovingly known as Danny, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026, at Americare Senior Living Skilled Nursing and Rehab surrounded by care, compassion, and the friendship of the loving staff members who became like family to him.

Danny was born on December 26, 1953, to Shirley (Davis) Bosworth and Allen Bosworth. He graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 1972, where he was known as a talented drummer.

On June 25, 1976, Danny married Kimberly Hannigan. Together they built a family that became the center of his world. Of all his accomplishments, the thing Danny was most proud of was being a father to his three daughters: Heather Gould (Frank), Tracy Jones (Mike), and Danielle Bayless (Brian).

He was also a proud grandfather to Keith Jones (Celena), Brandon Jones, Courtney Jones, Levi Jones, Bethany Gould, Lizzie Gould, Lilly Bayless, and Cooper Bayless, all of whom brought him great joy and happiness.

Danny worked for many years at Pauline Coop before beginning a career with the Kansas Turnpike Authority, where he dedicated 25 years before retiring.

After family, Danny’s greatest passions were hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He treasured those moments, and the friendships and memories made along the way.

Danny is survived by his brothers, Steve Bosworth (IlaRose) and David Bosworth (Janet), along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Danny will be remembered for his love of family, strong work ethic, and for always being happy with a smile on his face, even at the end. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life honoring Danny will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Tallgrass Christian Camp, 11908 Old Log House Rd, Harveyville, KS 66431.
