Darlene Kay Foster, 74, of Ottawa, KS died Monday, March 15, 2021 at Richmond Healthcare and Rehab in Richmond, KS.
She was born December 17, 1946 in Ottawa, Kansas the daughter of J.B. and Ruby (Bittenbender) Reeves. She graduated from Ottawa High School in 1964. Following graduation, she studied at the Kansas City Area Vocational/Technical School. She was married July 15, 1988 to Delbert Foster in Richmond, Kansas.
She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, or LPN, at Gardner Medical Center for twenty-two years and she worked as a Nurse over forty years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.B. and Ruby Reeves; two brothers, J.B. Reeves Jr. and Clifford Reeves; a sister-in-law, Vicky Reeves; and a husband, Larry Warren.
She is survived by her husband, Delbert Foster and granddaughters, Taylor and Caylee Warren all of the home; a daughter, Laurie Warren of Madison, KS; a stepson, Donald Foster Sr. of Ottawa, KS; a brother, Harry Reeves of Lebanon, MO; a sister, Janice Young of Olpe, KS; a stepson, Mike Foster of Kansas City, KS; a sister-in-law, Amanda Lucas and husband, Chuck; a sister-in-law, Janice Brown and husband, David; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
To celebrate Darlene’s life, Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona, KS. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 22, 2021 at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, 325 S. Hickory, Ottawa, KS 66067.
