David Holloway Obituary

David L. Holloway, 70, of Baldwin, KS passed away, Saturday, September 12, 2020 at his home.
He was born November 12, 1949 in Kansas City, MO the son of Ernest and Pearl (Smith) Holloway. He graduated from Turner High School in Kansas City, KS with the Class of 1967.
David began work with General Motors Fairfax Assembly Plant in Kansas City, KS.
He served in the United States Marine Corp as Corporal during the Vietnam War. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Bronze Star and Navy Achievement Medal.
After the War, he returned to work at General Motors in Kansas City, KS. He later became a Truck Driver and worked for Sysco Foods, Houston, TX. He then, worked at the Walmart Distribution Center #6035 in Ottawa, KS until his retirement.
He married Debbie Stefanik in 1982 in Houston, TX. They have shared thirty-eight years of marriage.
David enjoyed bowling, softball, boating, riding motorcycles and shooting at the gun range.
Mr. Holloway was preceded in death by his parents; a niece, Katherine Holloway; and a nephew, Ronnie Fishbauch.
Survivors include, wife, Debbie of Baldwin, KS; daughter, Paula (Craig) Miller Moran, KS, son, Shane (Rose') Holloway Garnett, KS, son, Ben (Lori) Holloway Bellevue, NE, daughter, Amy Angleton CO, daughter, Tiffany Reed Tonganoxie, KS, daughter, Whitney Holloway Coffeeville, KS, son, Tyson Holloway of Coffeeville, KS, daughter, Autumn Holloway, Baldwin City, KS; brother, Earnie (Mary) Holloway Bonner Springs, KS, half-brother, Bill Holloway Oskaloosa, KS, half-sister, Katherine of Missouri; thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of David's Life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, 325 S. Hickory, Ottawa, KS 66067. The family will receive friends before the service at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project and sent in c/o the Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O.
