David Robert Ware

David Robert Ware, 57, of Ottawa, KS passed away July 3, 2022 at Mindenmines, MO.  He was born April 13, 1965 in Ottawa, KS the son of Martha Hickerson, later adopted by Charlie Ware.  He graduated from Ottawa High School in 1983.

After High School, David pursued many career paths. David worked as a packer for the H.D. Lee Company in Ottawa, KS and later worked as a crane operator for Finch Sign Company in Pomona, KS.

He married Karla Myers and they later divorced.  David had a significant other, Pamela Crooks and they later separated.

David enjoyed playing pool, going fishing and antique cars.  His children were his pride and joy, he loved spoiling them any chance he could.  David could always be found with a drink in his hand, usually a fountain pop or his own sweet tea (mostly sugar, a little tea).

Mr. Ware was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Hickerson and a step-father, Steve Hickerson. 

Surviving family includes a son, Tony Davis of California, son, Tyler Ware of Olathe, KS, daughter, Kindal Ware of Lawrence, KS, son, Dillon Ware of Ottawa, KS, son, Ryan Ware of Wellsville, KS; a sister, Dawna Stewart of Wellsville, KS; a brother, Steve Hickerson of Ottawa, KS; and three grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2022 at the Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, 325 S. Hickory, Ottawa, KS 66067.  Memorial contributions may be made to the David Ware Memorial Fund and sent in c/o the Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O.
