Deanna J. (Schidigger) Fiegener

Deanna J. Fiegener, 84, of Overbrook, Kansas died Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Brookside Nursing Home in Overbrook, Kansas.

She was born June 8, 1940 in Carbondale, Colorado the daughter of Kenneth Dean and Audrey (Baldwin) Scheidegger.  She graduated from Highland Park High School with the class of 1958. 

Deanna worked as a head cook at USD 501 and then at Washburn University until her retirement in 2008.

Deanna was a devoted mom and was known for caring for her family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Audrey Scheidegger and a sister, Patricia Lender.

She is survived by four daughters, Julie Shelton of Overbrook, KS, Diana Fiegener of Topeka, KS, Jeanette Fiegener of Topeka, KS, and Doreen Fiegener of Topeka, KS; two sons, Donald Fiegener of Topeka, KS and Terry Fiegener and his wife, Tracy, of Overbrook, KS; five grandchildren, Andrew Fiegener and his wife, Kodi, of Overbrook, KS, Dustie, Joe Taylor, Halie Taylor, and Wyatt Taylor; two great-grandchildren, Brandy, and Blake; two sisters, Nancy Bass of Carthage, MO and Joyce Kirkner; and a brother, Bill Scheidegger of Topeka, KS.

Funeral Services were held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1005 W. 173rd St, Scranton, KS 66537.  Condolences may be sent to the family through www.lamb-roberts.com.
