Dee Ellen Kay (Farrell) Leach

Dee Ellen Kay (Farrell) Leach was born September 21, 1939 in Le Loup, Kansas the daughter of Donald and Opal (Hudson) Farrell.  She departed this life on July 4th, 2024 at her home near Ottawa, Kansas, surrounded by loved ones at the age of 84 years.

Dee Ellen lived most of her life in the Ottawa Community.

Dee Ellen graduated from Ottawa High School and was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.  She worked at H.D. Lee, UPS, Census, EMT and CNA.

On May 18, 1958, Dee Ellen was united in marriage to Robert L. Leach in Ottawa, Kansas. To this union four children were born, Robert K., Ricky, Rhonda and Randy. 

Dee Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Opal (Hudson) Farrell, sister Patricia (Pat) Fleming, brother Doug Farrell and grandson Jaron K. Leach.

Dee Ellen is survived by her husband Robert L. Leach of 66 years, her four children, Robert K. Leach of Rantoul, KS, Ricky Leach of Ottawa, KS, Rhonda (David) Brown of Ottawa, KS and Randy (Vickie) Leach of Pomona, KS, 14 grandkids and 28 great grandkids, two brothers, David Farrell of Florida and Kenny Farrell of Texas, and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 12 Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the Ottawa Eagles Club, 529 E. 15th Street, Ottawa, KS 66067.  Condolences may be sent to the family through www.lamb-roberts.com. .
