Diana Marie (Constantinescu) Gates

Diana Marie Gates, 72, of Tonganoxie, Kansas died Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Lawrence, Kansas.

She was born June 16, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Nick and Karin (Garher) Constantinescu. 

On February 14, 1985, Diana was united in marriage to Gary Gates in Lawrence, KS.  They shared 37 years of loving marriage before Gary’s passing on May 24, 2022. 

Diana worked for and was a client of Cottonwood, Lawrence, KS, one of her favorite jobs was folding napkins at Set Em Up Jacks.

She was preceded in death by her father, Nick Constantinescu, and her husband, James “Gary” Gerald Gates.

She is survived by her mother, Karin Constantinescu of Baldwin City, KS; a brother, Marion Constantinescu and his wife, Julie, of Baldwin City, KS; a sister-in-law, Linda Schiltz; and an aunt, Leanne Peel.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin City, KS.
