Doris Farr

Doris (Mueller) Farr, 81, of Ottawa, KS passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Rock Creek of Ottawa, KS.  She was born August 25, 1941 in Wiesbaden, Germany the daughter of Karl Jacob Mueller and Lina Christina (Leicht) Mueller. 

She was united in marriage to Richard Johnson Jr. on July 21, 1967 in Wiesbaden, Germany and moved to the United States. 

She became a United States Citizen on December 3, 1971 in Morristown, New Jersey. 

She married Lowell Eugene “Gene” Farr on March 17, 1987 in Lawrence, KS.  They shared over thirty-four years of marriage before the death of Gene on August 5, 2021.

Doris enjoyed traveling with Gene during his time in the Air National Guard.  They settled in Lyndon, KS where they operated Gidget’s Garden at the local farmer’s market.  They later retired to Ottawa, KS where she cared for Gene until his death.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; and husband, Lowell E. “Gene” Farr. She has one child, a daughter, Dagmar Karin Mueller.
