Edith M. Ingram, 93, of Ottawa, KS passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Rock Creek of Ottawa, KS.
She was born July 21, 1930 in Cottonwood Falls, KS the daughter of Theodore Henry Nichols and Dottie Mae (White) Nichols. She grew up and attended schools in Cottonwood Falls, KS.
Edith was united in marriage to Eugene Francis Ingram on November 4, 1946. They shared over twenty-seven years of marriage before the death of her husband on May 17, 1973.
She and her family lived in Hutchinson, KS; Quenemo, KS before residing in Ottawa, KS in January of 2017. Edith enjoyed working puzzle books and spending time with her family.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene; four brothers, Edward, Floyd, Frankie and Richard Nichols; and a sister, Viola Huntsinger.
Surviving family includes three sons, John Ingram of Ottawa, KS, Howard Ingram and Billy Bob Ingram of Larned, KS; a daughter, Nancy (Dennis) Stowell of Topeka, KS; two sisters, Delores of Colorado Springs, CO and Rosetta of Topeka, KS; and two granddaughters, Tammy of Great Bend, KS and Debra Lynn Lawless of Lawrence, KS.
Graveside services and inurnment will be held at 1 p.m. Monday October 2, 2023 at the Maplewood Memorial Lawn Cemetery, 2000 Prairie Street, Emporia, KS 66801. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Southern Baptist Church and may be sent in c/o the Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O. Box 14, Ottawa, KS 66067.
