Elizabeth Patrick Obituary

Elizabeth L. “Betty” Patrick, 96, of Topeka, KS and formerly of Burlingame, KS passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at the McCrite Care Center in Topeka, KS.  She was born March 23, 1929 in Burlingame, KS the daughter of Ralph L. Mallot and Christina (Jones) Mallot.  She graduated from the Burlingame High School with the Class of 1947. 

She was united in marriage to Virgil L. Patrick on May 18, 1947.  They shared over seventy years of marriage before her husband’s death on January 25, 2018. 

Betty was a homemaker who loved caring for her family.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren every chance she could get.  She also enjoyed playing Bridge, Pitch and Bingo.  Betty always kept busy by reading mysteries, crocheting, knitting and painting.

She was a member of the Burlingame Federated Church and T.N.T. – Tuesday Night Talkers in Burlingame.   Betty will be remembered for her kind and loving nature, her positive attitude and finding the good in every person. She valued her time with family and her many friends and will be missed by all who knew her.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Christina Mallot;  her husband, Virgil Patrick; a granddaughter, Sandy Middleton and great-grandson, Nicholas Klozik.

Surviving family includes, two daughters, Linda G. Hauschild and husband, Harry of Green Valley, AZ and Christine M. Berkley and husband, Royce of Topeka, KS; a son, Michael A. Patrick and wife, Kameron of Topeka, KS; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. 

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at the Burlingame Cemetery, Burlingame, KS.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and sent in c/o the Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O.
