Eva Elaine Waldo, 67, of Kansas City, KS died Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at the Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, KS.
She was born March 31, 1953 in Kansas City, KS the daughter of Harley James Jenkins and Alice Frances (Carver) Jenkins. She grew up in the Kansas City, Kansas area and graduated from Olathe North High School with the class of 1971.
On May 29, 1971, Eva was united in marriage to Robert Michael Waldo in Desoto, KS. They shared forty-nine years of love together.
Eva was a Bookkeeper for Westlake Hardware in Olathe for many years before becoming a Bookkeeper at Home Depot in Merriam for the last twenty-one years.
Eva loved her family especially her grandchildren. She never passed up the opportunity to be outdoors and camping was one of her favorite ways to accomplish that. She loved to cook and loved family get-togethers because her large family made times together so much fun and so memorable. She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. She loved to cheer when the made a good play and yell at the refs or the other team if something went wrong. Her family will miss her animated way of watching the Chiefs play.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Waldo, Kansas City, KS; her three sons, Roger Waldo, Olathe, KS, Donny Waldo, Kansas City, KS, Billy Waldo, Lenexa, KS; eleven grandchildren, Elaine Diaz, Cameron Waldo, Lauren Waldo, Jenna Waldo, Olivia Waldo, Peyton Waldo, Taylor Waldo, Christian Waldo, Dustin Frazee, Caitlin McKnight, and Ashtin McGonigal; and five great grandchildren, Cesar, Jherson, and Oliver Diaz & Zoey and Caliana McKnight.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Billy Jenkins; sister, Marie Kyle; and step-father, Larry Long.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, Baldwin City, KS. The family will meet with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 19, 2020 at the funeral home.
