Gail Bruner

Gail Fredricks Bruner, 55, of Rantoul, Kansas died Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Meadowbrook Rehabilitation Hospital, Gardner, KS.

He was born June 2, 1965 in Great Bend, KS, the son of Warren Bruner and Lois (Blankenship) Bruner.  He grew up in Rantoul, Ks graduating from Central Heights High School with the class of 1984.

Gail was a C.N.A. early in his life.  He then began working for many years at Lawrence Memorial Hospital and later U.S.D. 290 in Custodial services. 

Gail loved the family farm.  He always wanted to help.  He was quick to help fix a fence or cut ice or feed the cattle.  Whatever was needed to keep the farm running smoothly.  He was always helping others.  No matter how much trouble it was Gail always was there to help.

On March 16, 1990, Gail was united in marriage with Peggy Wilson in Rantoul, KS.  She preceded him in death on May 16, 1993.  On August 27, 1994 Gail was united in marriage to Vania Dunigan in Ottawa, KS.  They later divorced.

Gail is also preceded in death by his father Warren Bruner.

He is survived by two sons, Luke Bruner, Lawrence, KS, Logan Bruner, Lawrence, KS; brother Randy Bruner and his wife, Nichol; mother Lois Bruner; and his nephews, Bryce & Brayden Bruner.

Private graveside memorial services will be held at a later date at Ruhamah Cemetery, Rantoul, KS.  The family suggest memorial contributions to Franklin County Cancer Foundation sent c/o Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O.
